East Kentwood's Micah Rosser scored on a tip-in with 2.1 seconds left to give the Falcons a wild 51-49 win over Rockford on Friday and keep the team unbeaten.

Rosser's shot finished off a game in which the Falcons scored only 11 second half points while letting a 40-26 halftime lead disappear. Rockford (3-7, 1-1) tied the game 49-49 in the waning seconds. East Kentwood got possession of the ball and ran the clock to 10 seconds left before Marlon Dorsey drove to the basket. He missed the shot, but Rosser followed up the miss with a rebound and basket with 2.1 ticks to go.

Darron Ewing led East Kentwood (9-0, 2-0) with 10 points. Rockford's Josiah Salik had 18 and Nolan Bryant 10. Falcons coach Jeff Anama said any road win is huge.

"Absolutely. They had a huge crowd and it was a loud and exciting game," he said. "Marlon drove trying to make something happen and Micah followed him in.

"The first half we played about as well as we could. It wasn't like we played awful in the second  half, they just played well and tied it. Fortunately we got the last shot."

Rams coach Nick Allen said he had no problem with his team's effort. "Our guys did a nice job of staying competitive and mentally tough," he said. "They fought their way back. They just made more shots than we did. They're a good team."
