Rockford defeats West Ottawa in boys basketball

The Rockford boys basketball team defeated visiting Holland West Ottawa, 53-45, on Tuesday.

“We were able to get some stops in crunch time, and the guys did a great job competing in a hard-fought game,” Rockford coach Nick Allen said.

Rockford (4-7, 2-3 OK Red) visits Hudsonville at 7 p.m. Friday, while West Ottawa hosts Grandville.

“It’s going to be a tough one,” Allen said of the matchup. “We will go into it with positive energy and let the chips fall where they may.”
