Rockford Rams 50, Lowell Red Arrows 43 Rockford boys beat Lowell 50-43; teams could play again in district
final Rockford used a big third quarter to beat Lowell in what could be a prelude to a rematch in the Class A district finals next week. The Rams led only 25-22 at the half, but with Mitch Caywood and Clifton Johnson combining for 12 points, Rockford outscored the Red Arrows 16-9 in the third quarter. Johnson finished with 14 points and Caywood 10 for the OK Red tri-champion Rams, who upped their record to 15-5. Rockford tied East Kentwood and Hudsonville for a league title. The closest Lowell could get was 44-41 in the third quarter. The Red Arrows got 13 points from Justin Castro and 10 from Kyle Rogers. The two teams are on each side of the bracket in next week's district at Rockford. The finals are Friday. |
